Me Me's Moo Moo's



Description:
The cow that glows in the dark - Makes a great night lamp for a Child's room.

This fast and easy project sheet is ideal for group activity leaders!

Materials & Supplies Needed:

  • White Tube Stocking (Childrens Size)
  • Black & White Felt for the Spotted Cow and forming the Eyes or use Plastic Eyes (You may also use your own Favorite Stuffed Doll or Bear)
  • Package of Glowing Stars & Moons
  • 24" of Rainbow Rick-Rack (Optional or choose your own Colors) *12" Ruffled Trim to match your Rick-Rack
  • Multi-Colored Glitter (Optional)
  • Popsicle Sticks or Twigs from the Outdoors
  • Two Medium Size Meat Trays (Your choice of color)
  • Glue Gun & Sticks
  • Scissors,(Pinking Shears,Optional for cutting out two circles fo the Meat Tray) Several threaded Needles using White and Black thread
  • Polyester Fiber for Stuffing
  • Stuffing Tool such as a Screwdriver
  • Bell with a Ribbon to be placed around Cow's Neck
  • Mason Jar(s) (Make several, Size Optional)
  • 1 OR 2 Bags of Potpourri (Your choice of Scent)
  • Pipe Cleaners to Insert into the Ears
  • Pointed Pencil and /or Pen used for tracing
  • Instructions for Me Me's Moo Moo's & Critters Too:

    STEP 1 - Glue the Ruffled Trim around the Rim of the Jar,attach and glue the Rick-Rack over the first Trim.

    STEP 2 - Using your Meat Trays, trace out two Circles five inches in diameter Sandwich & Glue together leaving an opening at the bottom Center to insert the Stick or Twig.

    STEP 3 - Arrange and Glue on your Stars & Moon...Sprinkle the Glitter throughout your Circled Meat Tray...Let Dry.

    STEP 4 - Attach and Glue on Rick-Rack around the front of the Circled Meat Tray.

    STEP 5 - Fill your Jar with Porpourri, only half-Full before placing your Cow or Critter in the Center, now fill in the remainder.

    STEP 6 - Making your Me Me's Moo:

    a) Start filling the tube Sock with stuffing, firmly and gently.
    b) Close the Opening with your threaded Needle. Cut out the Ears by Tracing a Heart into a Pattern,cut out and then Fold this Heart to form the Ears,insert one Pipe Cleaner in each ear along with a tiny portion of Stuffing,close the opening with your threaded needle and attach to each side of the Head.
    c) For the Nose...Cut out a Circle,based on the size you decide on, place stuffing in center and wrap your thread Needle around the Circle and pull the thread by gathering the Circle,making several stitches.Place the Nose in the Center of the Cow's Face.
    d) Insert your threaded Needle under the Nose making several stitiches to secure in place, you may also use Glue to keep it intack.

    STEP 7 - For Eyes, either use Plastic Eyes or make your Own by tracing them into Patterns to form a small half Circle into a for the White of the Eyes and a smaller Black Cirlce for inside of the Eye. To Create various Expressions, place the Black Eyes in the Corners

    STEP 8 - Using Black Felt or use Fabric that resembles the Cow Print. Cut out various Shapes for the Spotted Cow, glue or make several stitches around the shapes using the same color thread.
